Creating a Career
MULTI-INTERESTS START AT AGE 4

Anthony Pessarra remembers poring over a broken clock at age four, sorting out the movements of levers
and wheels. “It was like putting a puzzle together,” he says. “I recall finishing and thinking that this-putting
things right again-- was a completion of sorts."  It was, in fact, the start of something.

Anthony would later begin music study and take interests in electronics, astronomy, chemistry and physics.
He threw himself into music and a variety of interests and entered college to win a coveted freshman prize
of a scholarship in applied piano and organ.  Eventually he won the Phi Mu Alpha award for outstanding
musicianship for a series of undergraduate concerts.

University years were spent in performance and degree studies in organ performance and choral music.
Studying with numerous gifted teachers, he was hired immediately for church organists positions during
graduate work and found the time to engage in an additional M.A. in American Literature.

While in Austin, TX, Anthony in musical productions and concerts and was hired as the chairman of a music
department at BJC college where he conducted the choral group and taught music history and piano.
Eventually he started his own company with piano tuning and rebuilding and grew it into the current KeyArts
Co.  Along the way he built and restored pipe organs and purchased a Rodgers concert touring organ which
was used in the pursuit of public concerts and events.

Anthony has come a long way from his days in the woodland paths of his home and the "scientist's work
shop" at home building and testing inventions and optical equipment.  Today, he often spends time in front of
the computer designing mirrors for organists across America.

He and his wife, Kathy live in Clear Lake (Houston) and enjoy the city while getting away for renewal from
time to time.  Playing the large organ at a downtown church, Anthony continues to develop musical skill and
inventive improvisations.  Even though the major works of J.S. Bach are under his fingers, he still feels he's
just getting started..there is always another difficult concert piece to learn and there seem to be no end.
