Wedding Music

Trumpet March
JEAN-BAPTISTE LULLY

Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-1687) was the one of the greatest composers of his era. He was royal
composer and music director in the court of the "Sun King," Louis XIV, throughout much of his reign,
including during the time that the great palace of Versailles was built. This piece works especially
well as a processional for smaller wedding parties, and it makes for a grand entrance, either with
trumpet or played by the organ alone as heard here.
