WEDDING INFORMATION FOR CHRISTIAN NON-MEMBERS

As you search for that perfect church and the right music and the right     
everything, you may have complications that sometimes can be frustrating.

Let's assume that you have narrowed it down to your home church if you have
one, and say, two or three others.  Now that is a situation many find themselves
in.  If you are like me, you want the best you can get with the least hassle and
trouble AND church staff that will be responsive to the many different
requirements you might have.    

On this page are hot links to some of the best church thinking on weddings and
procedure.  Remember these are among the BEST!  Churches that do not
perform weddings on a consistent and regular basis usually do not have
skills and experience in wedding production and dedicated staff...that means
mistakes and loose ends....you don't want that.    

Some of you may not be church members, or were when you were children.   
Some of you want stained glass, organ and trumpets, others a garden setting or
a chapel in the sky.   There is nothing wrong with making a choice based on
aesthetics, after all couples choose each other based on aesthetics...
Why not the church at least to some degree?

On the left side of the page you will find ideal examples of churches that  are
accommodating, positive, gracious and accepting.   They range from the largest
to smaller and quaint.   Browse these to get a flavor of
church personality in contemporary America.   

On the right side you will find Houston churches that are comparable in attitudes
as well as being open to non-member weddings and in which you could find a
positive, supportive church home if you are interested.  
Browse their sites and give them a call.

One thing to keep in mind - Churches with large memberships have a huge
member demand for wedding dates.  Non-member weddings are graciously
accepted with some restrictions.  These are usually related to
date and advance booking.   These churches, their clergy and staff
love to perform weddings and be part of your special day.  
They will have competent musicians and wedding staff
to make your event perfect and memorable in every way possible.
